Kotarou Higuchi
Kotarou's mother died when he was young, and Kotarou now lives with his father, a businessman who's usually very busy. Kotarou is the one who has to take out the garbage, wash the dishes and make dinner. He's very responsible for his age, and he's softspoken, quiet and kind. He's very loyal to his friends, and always stands up for them and cares for them. He's also very concerned about schoolwork, and is always working hard. His best friends are Ten and Koboshi, his classmates who have been his friends since kindergarden. Kotarou also has a sensitivity towards supernatural phenomena, such as the ability to see or feel spirits and ghosts.

Misha
Misha is an angel who one day moved into the apartment next to Kotarou. From day one she wanted to take care of him, even saying she would be his mother. She is extremely energetic, whimsical, happy and gets excited over the smallest events. Misha is constantly clinging to Kotarou, and although he gets very annoyed at this, she doesn't seem to notice. She only wants the best for him, and is never far away from him.

Takashi (Ten) Ayanokouji
Ten is one of the most popular boys in school. The girls are often seen fluttering around him. He's not only smart and gets excellent grades, he's also very good at sports. He is quite loud at times, loves to make jokes and poke fun at his friends. He's however a supportive friend, and seems to always know how other people feel and how to help them.

Koboshi Uematsu
Koboshi has had a crush on Kotarou for years. She's at times absentminded, noisy and has quite a temper, and she's extremely protective of Kotarou. She doesn't do too well in school, but she's good at participating in activities such as organizing school activities, and trying to learn ballett, piano and violin. She's very decided and does not give up easily.

Shia
Shia is a very mysterious girl who one day moves in with Misha, accompanied by a small black cat. Shia's very quiet, she talks softly and is very polite. She's good at cooking and cleaning, both abilities she gets to use a lot after she moves in with Misha. Can this girl really be a demon..?

Nyaa
Nyaa is Shia's mentor - a small black cat who accompanies her in the human world. Nyaa works hard to guide Shia, but finds this job very difficult as Shia is often mostly concerned with what she will cook for dinner and other everyday tasks. Nyaa often sighs and complains about her lack of ambition.

Hiroshi (Dai) Mitarai
Hiroshi is the eldest son of the Mitarai family, an old wealthy family with long traditions. Hiroshi is trained in all sorts of honorable old arts such as tea ceremony, military, and so on. He's tutored by several of the best tutors in the country, and he takes great pride in being a Mitarai. Ten-chan is his worst enemy since Ten tends to do better than him in school. While Hiroshi can be both obnoxious and way too competitive, he also works hard on being noble and following the etiquette of his social class.

Kaoru Mitarai
Kaoru is Hiroshi's younger sister. She can be both scheming and violent, protecting the ones she cares about with all possible means. She's trained in fighting and has quite a temper.

Sasha
Sasha is Misha's older sister - a fulltime angel who passed the angel exam on her first try. She's got strong angelic powers, and can send out magic to make people happy, stop fights and more. Sasha is self-confident and strong-willed, and does not back away from confrontations. She is quite crazy about cute boys. Sasha lives in heaven, but comes to the human world occasionally to visit and help her sister.

Shino
Shino is Kotarou's little cousin, who lives up north. She is very small and cute. She has lost her mother too, just like Kotarou.

Tarou
Kotarou and Shino's greatgrandfather. He sends Kotarou apples from his orchard every year. Has always been strong-willed and optimistic.
