Not all miracles include things such as bringing dead people back to life.. there are small miracles too. Like the miracle of being able to help someone who's suffering, and to bring joy to others. Perhaps even helping a person and seeing him or her smile and be happy, can be considered an everyday miracle? Such miracles is it that occur at Kokoro Library.
Kokoro Library is after all an unusual library with a special history, a history that really should be taken into consideration. The entire library was built with a belief in the goodness of human beings. The library's foundations are entirely idealistic. It was built to help other people, to make them happy through the joys of reading. In the time it was built, the books had a stronger and more symbolic meaning that just being an interesting pasttime - the books represented something to be enjoyed, something that could make your heart happy, after a long period of war and hardships where there hadn't been much to rejoice in at all. When Joldy - Kokoro, Aruto and Iina's dad - built the library, it was to help the people of the city. It was his way of doing something for them. Joldy was an open, loyal and kind man, and his wife was also concerned about the well-being of others. All these are qualities that their children inherited. The librarians at Kokoro Library believe and trust in people. Everyone is equal, and the librarians do their best to help each and everyone they meet, whether it be users or other people they get in touch with. It is said that "faith can move mountains". That is why Kokoro Library can create miracles - the miracles of hope, trust, joy and friendship.
